ATAR Estimate based on prelim results? (1 Viewer)

Hi! I just want to know how hard I will need to work if I want to achieve a 99+ ATAR These marks and approximate ranks are from prelim. Hoping I will do just as well, if not better (especially math grr >( ) for hsc. (marks in brackets)

School rank: top 5
English adv - top 30-40/160 (90/100)
English ext - top 30-40/160??? NO IDEA, but a lot of people got like 50/50, 49/50, etc. (46/50)
Maths ext/adv - top 30-40 out of 156 (adv) and 144 (ext) (92/100, 43/50) (doing ext 2 now! fun!)
FT - 1/8 (99/100)
VA - 1-2/13 (99/100)

I know eng is probably dragging me down and maths maybe, but my cohort is exceptionally strong. I don't believe our "tail" is very big.

Marks don't really help much, different schools have different exams. I'm assuming you go to SG or NSG, and with those ranks, I think it'll be pretty likely for you to get an ATAR. Just study hard and I have no doubts 99 will be possible.

Thanks, just providing marks for a bit of context because in some tests if you lose 1 mark, you can probably drop 10 ranks lol

Push your English ranks to top 10, and maths to top 20 and you will get 99+

Anything e4 (even 90) in MX2 is equivalent for 99+ lol.

A 93 in ext.1 is equivalent for 99+ as well.

However, for English and your other subjects, you need 95+.

I'd say 98.4 - 99.2.

99+ esp. considering top 5 school. It is redic hard to get top 30-40 out of 150+
