I need help with the arteries, capillaries and veins.

Could anyone please! tell me their blood pressure, diameter of blood vessel, composition of blood present and if they have any valves?

Hope someone can answer :D

Are you trying to relate to the dotpoint question? If so, I hope this helps:
  • Compare the structure of arteries, veins and capillaries in relation to their function.
Arteries:
  • Thick muscular layer to withstand high pressure blood flow from the heart.
  • It carries blood away from the heart.
Veins:
  • Valves to prevent backflow of the blood to facilitate return to the heart (carries blood to the heart).
  • Thin walled -> Under low pressure.
Capillaries:
  • One cell thick - to allow for efficient diffusion of substances e.g. nutrients, O2, CO2, to cells.
  • It connects the arteries and veins together.

I will add few more here.

The lumen - the diameter for arteries is smaller and for veins it's larger.

Arteries carry oxygenated blood except the pulmonary artery which carries deoxygenated blood from heart to lung which has much less oxgeyn component with higher percentage of carbon dioxide.

On the other hand, veins carry deoxygenated blood except the pumonary vein whcih carries oxygenated blood from lung to heart.

capillaries carry both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood
