I had been sick for a while and missed several days of school right before my exams. Because of this I did quite bad in my exams. I'm quite sure that this would show significant change in my final results. So I was wondering if it was possible to apply for anything through the board of studies to get any bonus points with my final ATAR?
If so how would I do it?
Thanks.

Talk to your Year Advisor, that's a long stretch though to get bonus points for. It's usually for more severe instances.

you can appeal for this particular assessment.. but no bonus points for your atar unless you're affected by a serious illness

Define "sick"

If it was a headache then gtfo. If it was projectile vomitting you can get your ranks adjusted

And NO. Doing bad in internal exams will not have a significant effect on your hsc marks

Boaed of studies will do absolutely nothing and Uac take care of atars. Neither of which will do anything about this problem

Projectile vomiting is part of HSC physics syllabus......

Jokes.

You won't be able to get bonus points. All you can do is talk to your teachers and ask for re-sitting any exams (though this must be done immediately with a doc's certificate, straight after the exams, or on the day of the exam you bring in the certificate and maybe sit the exam that day, but use that as an exemption to maybe re-sit the exam if its obvious that it wasn't indicative of your real performance as seen by past exams).

This is something you really need to discuss with your school, as they will have a better idea of their specific polices and your situation. We can only really speculate.
