I really love biancaaa's photos, especially the one with the birds and the cloud.
Im also into photography. But i don't have DSLR camera (wish i had one)... i only have a digital camera. Hopefully maybe the HSC my parents will get me one.

Here are some of my photos I've taken. I had to photoshop my pics coz of the crappy digital camera I have.

Such nice photographs in this thread... love how that pic with the sleeping dog turned out. I normally just take random landscape pics where ever I go.

It's a shitty camera but here's a photo from my recent trip to Adelaide which I thought turned out alright:

EOS 350D, 35-70mm zoom.

Yep, this is the ship that sank recently in Antarctica - M/S Explorer. I was on it in January 2006.

I do wedding photography, use a 40D.

I did photojournalism for a short while (4 weeks - I'm still in year 12), the way I got into it was through my contacts.

Bought my SLR from this dude > he liked me so he gave me a job > liked me alot so he hooked my up with the editor of the local newspaper.

But if it's not that easy for you I suggest you attend a few events and take photo's, tell them your interested, but get to them quickly.

There is a school called Australia Centre for Photography at Paddington. Worth looking if you want to be qualified for photo-journalism.

I totally didn't realise there was a photography thread here until now. I'm looking for an SLR camera on eBay, up until now I've just messed around with digital but I'm craving moar. Any recommendations? Looking for an old 35mm I should add, just something old-school so I can hopefully dev them myself (which I haven't done in about 3 and a half years). For some reason I'm much more into manmade than I am scenery, but I'd like to try my hand at portrait photography sometime soon. Also urbex if I grow the balls and time for it :p Obligatory plug: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dcayetano

Some awesome pics in this thread, very delicious.

Have you considered a dSLR? As for a 35mm, do you currently own any lenses?

Hey everyone,

Soon to be buying a DLSR for my father and I- Do you think the Nikon D40x is a good choice? It has good reviews, but everywhere says it's for beginners, which we're not really. I also couldn't find anything showing it had manual focus adjustment...or is that an obviously standard feature with DSLR? We currently have a Kodak SLR from the 1980's (groovy), but we want a newer camera with no film costs ahaha.

Appreciate all suggestions- I was thinking price range of $700-$1500.

=D
