I tried Freedom 2 on PSP, but then I got bored of having to run so slowly in the training missions. Then when I run the speedwalking hack, it's too fast. I can't see myself playing it for 9001 hours, where a bunch of it is just me running around.
That's why I probably won't be downloading Freedom Unite. :)
I tried to like it though. Maybe I'll pick it up one day and actually play the main part.

Ahahaha monster hunter was epic on PSP.. When I was 12.
The whole fail online multiplayer ruined it. I mean, I'd still play multiplayer with a bunch of school mates (how sad were we) every lunch and recess but I wasn't prepared to pay anything to get the damn X-Link Kai working, considering I didn't even download the game.

It does take a loooong time to get going and to also get the hang of the gameplay. But once you do, it's incredibly satisfying because you actually do feel like a person who hunts monsters for a living.

*sigh* RPG games on the PSP.
I beg to differ, it's Metal Gear Solid that deserves to take that place.

metacritic sources its scores from multiple review sites

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (psp) reviews at Metacritic.com
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (psp) reviews at Metacritic.com
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (psp) reviews at Metacritic.com
Monster Hunter Freedom (psp) reviews at Metacritic.com
Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (psp) reviews at Metacritic.com

Monster Hunter Freedom: 71
Monster Hunter Freedom 2: 72
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite: 81
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII: 83
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops: 87

hahahahahaa at monster hunter freedom.
alright, we know which game is better now.
