lol at you negging me. you truly think your better than other people and your not. I was stating what your attidute comes across as to other people without stating my opinion on the subject. My sentence wasnt an example of a holier than thou attitude.
you are truly kidding yourself to think that in some way your opinion on what they believe in is better than someone elses.
brb i dont think im better than anyone else but i insult others for their beliefs.
How does catholicism (assuming this is a catholic priest) repress human sexuality?
and im laughing so hard at you thinking (assuming once again this is a christian priest) that christians think its ok to rape kids. its not ok to rape kids regardless of religion you moron.
FUCKING HELL just read your last line again seriously get off your high horse.
Sure i could give you examples of priest molesting children, but i could also give you heaps of examples of PEOPLE OF ANY FAITH INCLUDING ATHIESTS AND AGNOSTIC PEOPLE.
your a joke.
^ "who's aim is to repress human sexuality, and then rape kids" was the example of him thinking its alright.
realistically the only argument for repressing their sexuallity is the staying celibate part, but you have to remember that is something that the priests want to do. they arnt forced to be priests and i find it funny when people criticise them when its what they want to do in life.
Im glad someone else on here thinks like a normal person, it wouldnt suprise me if annihilist is the kind of person who think all muslims are terrorists ect.
What the fuck? Firstly, "negged for life"? Not only is it bigotry but it's immature. I'm not going to neg you anymore because I don't want to feed you.
Do I act like I am better than other people? Yes, I do believe I am better than child molesters. I believe that raping kids is absolutely disgusting, and that belief is better than the opposite. You cannot dispute that. As for the statement about religion, I believe religion is stupid because it is obviously false. That's my belief. The Bible is quite obviously fictitious, you don't need to be a religious scholar to see that. It's not an encyclopaedia. But I digress.
"How does catholicism repress human sexuality?" Wow, really? If you even have to ask that question you are not qualified to be in this debate. Let's list some morals the Bible and Catholicism preaches on this regard:
- Sex before marriage is a sin
- Masturbation is a sin
- Priests may not marry and must remain celibate for their whole life
- Sex must only be for procreation (so either you have sex rarely or you have 20 fucking kids).
And remember, that if you sin you go to hell. Eternal burning damnation. So for the naive believers, this is pretty effective coercion into (mostly) celibacy.
I didn't say that religions think it's okay to rape kids. But...they fucking do it anyway. Go figure. What I said was that organised religion repressing human sexuality leads to many people, especially priests, having no sexual outlet and they may resort to drastic measures to get their orgasm. Sex is healthy and needs to be embraced, and sexual repression is dangerous.
My last line was a disclaimer, saying that if there is compelling evidence for the innocence of these priests, then I will acknowledge that my statements are invalid.
Yes, anyone can molest children, not just priests. I accept that. What's the problem.
You are right about the priests choosing this lifestyle, but do remember that many people choose the religious faith and still struggle with the sexual repression, especially orthodox believers. Through fear of hell and God they celibate themselves regardless of their better judgement. One may argue that individuals, and not the organisation, are responsible for this stupidity, but nonetheless, this is but one case against organised religion.
I have no idea where you got that from. I don't think all muslims are terrorists; I don't think all catholics are child molesters. I do think anyone who believes in religion is stupid. You can debate me on that if you like, but not here. We would be derailing the thread.
