Which is more enjoyable, in your opinion? Ancient History, Modern History or Extension History?

Please note that I am referring to the HSC subjects. If you wish to comment on the overall subject area outside of the HSC, please do so. However, do not base your vote on histories you have studied at university, as university is no doubt more interesting and exciting than the HSC. :)

Thank you. My vote is for Modern, btw.

Ciao ciao,
James

Hahah, I don't think you'll get a resounding round of applause for ancient in the modern forum. :)

Must this really be done again???
Look maybe I didn't know it had already being done. And WithoutWings could have easily deleted it if she had a problem with it, so, who cares? Honestly we all have better ways to use our time than to spend so much time on BoS, it's just ridiculous! Sometimes I want to whack my self around the head and force myself to go outside and exercise; sometimes this actually works, too.

I say bring back the fitness! :)

LOL I've gone off on yet another tangent... I'd be great at circle geometry ha ha wtf I'm not funny...

Hm, you have a very active mind, lol. Sorry, its just there are a few very long and rather aggressive threads on this topic already, it seemed a bit silly to me to continue beating a dead horse.

The subject doesnt make it enjoyable. What makes it tolerable is the teacher and the class.

No, the content is what makes a class enjoyable. That's just shallow to base your experience of a course of who taught it and who studied alongside you. :)

Seriously, I'd rather do Biology than do PD/H/PE just because Tom, Dick and Harry are doing it, as I know I would enjoy Biology more.

I like both extension and modern history... but modern is better only because it has wars in it for me :D

Oh and all of the people who do both modern and ancient say that modern is better. My friend also dropped ancient and kept extension and modern ^^

Had a choice between Moder & Ancient. I chose Modern because i like learning about modern wars and personalities lol. Extension is pretty boring but somewhat enjoyable?

That's the same with modern at our school :D

We had a conference of different "nations" to determine who started WWI hehe

But extension history argument's are awesome too!

Haha, we only had two people in my Extension class so we turned up to the subject ready to argue with each other cos we had different ideological standpoints on history :)

LOL :p

Oh the days of year ten history and learning about Phar Laps fall from um grace?
:p

I liked Ancient most because of the topics :)
But Modern was kick ass.
ahahahahahaaaahahaha Jennie, yes. loved Year 9 history with fendog. Phar Lap is AWESOME, as is the film. pure genius.

I wish he hadn't got poisoned (he WAS poisoned ACIDENTALLY, this was discovered in 2008 i believe).

Hm I wanna change my vote to Ancient now. It seems really enjoyable. Modern is great and all, but ancient gives you a chance to do something really new and sooo fun, stuff that doesn't even come up in any other class, y'know?
