I wanted to do aero engineering with the ADFA.. But I'm having big doubts on whether I'll make the course or not. They ask for 89 ATAR.. I don't know if I was aiming too high.. My ranks are as follows:

School Rank: I dont know

English (standard): 22/81

Mathetmatics (2unit): 1/13

Mathematics (3unit): 4/4 (only 1 person does 4unit)

Biology: 7/19

Engineering Studies: 3/7

Information Technology: 1/16 (even though we dont get ranked in this cauz itz a VET Course.. This was my rank for the trials)

Any suggestions guys?

We can't give an estimate if we don't know your school rank.

Try you best to improve in ext 1 maths (especially), bio and english. Maybe you'll have a chance then, although that's being fairly optimistic

Good luck!

you can never, ever aim too high. just don't get your hopes up and be prepared for failure in the worst case scenario.

Where are you getting this from? The ATAR for B.Aeronautical Engineering is 85.

Plus... if you haven't already applied for ADFA 2010 then it's probably too late, they've already been doing interviews for ADFA 2011 for quite some time.

To quote the site:

Aeronautical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and BTech (Aero) ITI/UAI = 85.00
QLD OP = 1-8

thats old....uai hasn't been converted to atar on their site...(i think)
Yeah, and it's 2008 UAI's as well (even though converting from UAI to ATAR will have almost no difference), which is why I want to know where the OP got the current ones from. UAC guide just has the usual A+C for additional testing. :)

You're not aiming too high, if you absolutely ace the hsc you could get that, but it doesn't look good

Learn to make your own thread... but no, you won't get 90+ with that.

EDIT: The above won't make any sense since the OP was a girl and deleted his/her post.

You can never aim too high.

Think Positive.

Believe in yourself.

You can do it.

Tbh OP is aiming way high, i dont think you'll get 90 unless you improve in the externals.
