is it too late for me? im freaking out!!! heres the deal:

english (standard) -80
maths 2 -80
maths 3 -83
CAFS -84
Bio -85
PHYSICS -37--------------------------------------------

yes, its lame. i studied heaps more in other subjects than physics because i knew no matter what i'll have done pooey anyhow cos im really dumb when it comes to physics. the average for the physics exam was 40something, and my teacher told us it was the hardest test we'll ever have to sit in physics,including the HSC. also, im behind in parametric rights now and genetics in bio and my IRP is dues in 6 weeks and ive done half of one interview. MY LIFE IS FALLING APART BEFORE MY EYES!! IS IT ALL OVER??? SHOULD I JUST GIVE UP NOW??

You gotta relax and remember that there is still another 50-60% of assesment left (atleast for me). And your school might be giving you really hard tests, so maybe when you come to the HSC they will be a sinch compared to what your doing now. I know my school tries to enforce this but it only really works in maths

And by the way the ISP really doesnt mean much its really just put there cause they had nothing better to give. Just do a quick job and dont waste your time, catch up..sooner rather than later especially with parametric which could be tricky some times

Don't stress about CAFS, it took me like 2 nights (including inventing my own interviews and questionnaires) and I got 96% for the IRP

i put ur marks into sam ( i had it open) anyways if the marks u got then were the marks u got in the hsc ur uai would be 74.70. so do better ( try study more) and ur looking at a uai higher than 74.70 and never ever give up i know sometimes it gets like that like omg why do i bother but try keep going!

He/She isn't stressed about CAFS......its the physics ther're worried about!

um dont forget that ur marks dont count for shit for now, only to establish ur rank and if 40 was physics average u cant be too far off, also dont stress about hsc since the hsc exams are so much easier. like the marks u get for hsc exams are not the marks u actually got in the hsc exam.

eg, when i did ext1 math exam, using the answers someone worked out here on bos i got 27%-33% depnding on marker, but in the hsc as my exam mark i got 33/50 (66%), the difference isnt this big usually, like my 2unit math i actually got ~74% according to answers from bos, but my hsc exam mark was 87% so dont think u have to get 90 to actually get 90 as your hsc exam mark.

IF I can give jsut 2 advices to new HSC comers it not to do Standard eng nor physics !! They both need super good teachers for any chance of doing well!! or if ur naturall smart

To 04'ers The bulk of your marks is determined by you, get over the habit of crediting your teachers with your bad performance.

don't give up...HSC physics is more of cramming n less of understanding....so if u understand just the basic concepts , n cram the answers to the dot points , u shud be fine!!
but do not give up!

- memorise the boring dotpoints and pracs in the right hand column...

-DO UNDERSTAND PHYSICS concepts...as questions cud be combined from different modules!!! such as last Q in core (2003 physics hsc paper) dealt with gravity as well as centripetal force...trust me JUST MEMORISING will not get u anywhere!!

yeah depends on the person, but stress causes insomnia and black lines under eyes for me so meh
