Just a heads up to anyone deciding to pursue a career in medicine.
All specialties (including GP because it is "general" specialty) have been oversubscribed by doctors who have completed their internship. 10-15% of doctors missed out on GP training.
This means medicine will only get more competitive from this year forward as the bottle neck right now is the specialty training positions.
This will mean don't expect to graduate and land a training position in your choice of specialty.
Jobs are already limited if you want to work in the city.
Have fun!
