umm it just occurred to me was there a point for all my own work>>?
cause i was absent till friday when we had that whole week to do it and i just copied all the answers off my friend so that i wouldn't have to do next year
i never really got a good look at that but was there any particular reason why we did it?

i just thought it was to prevent plagiarism but i could be wrong any insights?

hmm so your saying to plagiarize in uni? lol dont u get kicked out for that

and since were on a note for plagiarism i should add for a science assignment we had to do a model on volcanoes and write a report, my brother had to do the same one in yr9 and i just took in his model and put my name on it but i had his permission to do so what category would that be under lol

HAHA, you get this every year. To most people, no - all my own work is a waste of time. Most students are burnt out by the time the SC is over and nobody really pays attention. But the Board of Studies has to do something like this otherwise they'd be heavily criticised.

haha i would say that's plagiarism- doesn't matter if you got his permission it still isn't your own work and handing in someone elses work saying it is your own is considered a form of plagiarism...

The 'all my own work' program discussed that btw :p

It's probably there so if you get caught plagiarising, you can't use the excuse that you 'didn't know' (lol, terrible excuse). Or so the Board of Studies doesn't get blamed etc.

Essentially it's what you said, it lets the Board cover their asses. Annoying, but not that bad honestly.

You should do it. You'd be surprised at all the regulations and rules concerning plagarism BOS have up. It's worth a read.

i wrote up an answer sheet

for all the true/false q's i put true
and if it was wrong put false in the anwers
on separate piece of paper..so ended up
with 5 modules of answers..so because
i was in the libraryy, i photocopied and
gave a few out..which is ironic..then we all
finished..and then played games..
