"Teenagers visiting NSW clinic being intimidated to point of self harm by pressure group Helpers of God’s Precious Infants, say health workers

Women trying to get an abortion in Albury, New South Wales, have ended up self harming or even attempting suicide because of harassment from protesters outside the only clinic offering the procedure in the area, health workers have said
."

In my opinion, if protesters are worried about preserving life, why not volunteer at a respite care, soup kitchen, some kind of nurturing role...instead of harassing and stalking people to the point of suicide with completely propagandist material.
It's high time for the public push to Fed Govt to establish exclusion zones around clinics, and protect the privacy and safety of health workers and women alike.

There will always be haters of abortion, but when they bully and take "drastic" measures, then it is a different matter.

If peoplea are worried about preserving life they should serve soup instead of trying to preserve lives.

Drastic measures meaning peaceful protest.

“A poll in Victoria found about 8% of people don’t believe in abortion, and this is about the same percentage as nationally. Such a small group of people shouldn’t be dominating the public discourse and they shouldn’t be able to do what they do at people’s places of work.”

"disenfranchisement of minority groups is bad unless I disagree with them"

I have witnessed these 'protests' in Albury, and have actually participated in them. The 'anti-abortionists' are really peaceful and non-harrassing. They just stand there with banners and pray together quietly.

Think about it; the protestors, if they manage to convince anyone to change their mind, are taking away the clinic's business, so of course the health workers being paid by the clinic need to paint them as black as possible to get them moved away, and out of the line of the clinic's profit.

Good job on how to make people feel even shittier on one of the hardest decisions they will make in their life.

says the virgin.

condoms and birth control pills can fail.
The likelihood of contraception "failing" if you are using it correctly is literally almost nil...

Failure is usually due to people not using the contraception correctly...

It seems that sex only happens when people are drunk... a ) says a lot about how vigilant you would be with contraception... b ) Birth Control Pills are practically worthless and have the usefulness of a tic-tac when you have consumed alcohol...

Even when used properly they still can fail. Have you never heard of statistical failure? Your overall chances of failure increases when you continue doing something. People say shit like "its a one in a million chance of happening," well some asshole with super bad luck has to be that one in a million. Shit happens and that's a fact of life, women want abortions for multiple reasons and ultimately its their body, they should do whatever they want. Most abortions are safe within the first trimester.

of course i am, just challenging the whole idea that abortion is always some difficult emotional thing
statistical outliers.

most people would have a tough time killing people, you on the other hand probably would enjoy being a member of the einsatzgruppen.
