I'm not sure if I've ever bought a single. Some compilations but singles, don't think so. (Not that I've never wished I had, buying the New Radicals album is a waste of time, "You only get what you give" is truly their only half decent song.)

The fuck is a single?
One single song from an album. OP is asking, do you buy/download just 1 track, or do you buy/download the whole album?

I, too, prefer albums.

Depends on the artist, if it's a band or even genre I know and like then it will be album (if not their discography).

If I just hear a song randomly and like it I almost certainly wont care for the album.

Well, most of the time, generally when I like 1-2 tracks, I tend to also like the rest of the album?

except in electronic music, then its perfectly acceptable to download/buy 12" or singles or whatever (but thats only because a lot of electronic artists produce EPs or double sided 12"s)

if you only buy singles it suggests to me:
- you're a 14 year old girl who listens to generic pop trash
- you probably have severe ADHD
