Our school motto was pretty cool:

Nos autem in nomine domini

It says: But we in the name of the Lord

It's from the second part of verse 8, Psalm XIX. The full verse is: "Some trust in chariots and others in horses; But we in the name of the Lord"

Haha. Yeah i think i like the second version better, though it does make it sound like we feel the need to justify our learning for some reason. Like robin hood's robbing from the rich being made better by his giving to the poor. Maybe it's a little like that. Just a little...

diligence conquers all (things).

Bagging out Knox is so satisfying. More manly??! *Is reminded of the terrible dance movie that was on a couple of weeks ago...which featured a private boys' school captain prancing around, and many mentions of the word 'manly'.

*remembers translating Lazy's school motto*

Our school's was

ut filiae lucis ambulate
Walk as daughters of the light

ooooooooohhhhhhhhh thats what you mean

i thought you were implying some sort of randomness when you said "eyes closed"", i didnt realise that it wasnt a metaphor. Thats why when i say "eyes open" i mean, someone you relaly know
