my schools motto was in english and it said

wait for it

walk with christ - ugh

i remember one muck up day the yr 12's changed it to

Alcatraz college

Walk with chains

even the bus drivers had a laugh..

Our school motto was pretty cool:

It says: But we in the name of the Lord

It's from the second part of verse 8, Psalm XIX. The full verse is: "Some trust in chariots and others in horses; But we in the name of the Lord"

Well thats what it literally means

You could always jazz it up in translation to give to implied meaning

"We may take but we give back more"

Haha. Yeah i think i like the second version better, though it does make it sound like we feel the need to justify our learning for some reason. Like robin hood's robbing from the rich being made better by his giving to the poor. Maybe it's a little like that. Just a little...
