In Australia I just think it's incriminating that the media gives football such a bad rep when it makes eggballers look like angels.

I've never seen the media talk about football/soccer being horrible and dangerous. Meanwhile, RL/RU/AFL stars are constantly in the media for being rapists, wifebashers, and all-round dangerous guys to be around

I was at an A league game in August and some pesky 14 year olds started bogan slapping eachother. Coppers ejected them with no fuss, and this trash was all over the news. Wasn't even a fight if I recall.

they had like 34 shots on goal compared to hawthorn's 25 tho, so they can only blame themselves

i think there was talk of the swans getting a north melbourne ruckman but paul roos said nah, cos we've got a couple of young ruckmen - like that player who caused that extra player controversy, cant remember his name, and some young guy from brisbane

hey, did u hear about the canadian rugby union player that we signed earlier on in the year? i heard he runs 100m in under 11 secs... exciting prospect?

yup I sure did! I think we're going to have an international team soon - I hear that Roos might be going for more Irishmen!
