hey , i need advice on my subjects

gen maths
bio
eco
legal
earth and env
sor 1

I'm planning to drop earth and environmental as it won't scale me up.
I need 91.80 to get into the course i want to do at uni, i'm a pretty average student, but i'm really concerned as to if this goal is reachable and i need advice on how i can reach it =/

No reason why you can't reach your goal if you work hard. Although nothing this year will count towards your HSC year, it is still a good time to get into good study habits in preparation for when it all counts. Remember that all assessments will count, no matter how small they may appear to be, and always aim higher than you need. Aim for a 92, 93, even 94 for extra security.

That will give you about 92.50

If you aim for that for the actual HSC, you'll be fine.

I'm only an average student and my aim is 90+. It seems a bit out of reach but I am aiming for the moon~
If you put in hard work, you will reap the benefits so believe in yourself.

Hardly any subjects actually scale up and in fact even MX1, chem, phys and eco don't scale "up". They only scale relatively well compared to other subjects.

Your subjects aren't flashy at all as you probably know. This just means you need to get a higher marks to compensate for the bad scaling - so basically work hard and you'll be right.

And i discourage dropping a subject just as it doesn't scale you up for reasons mentioned before and also the simple fact that you will most likely perform better in subjects you like. Also, don't drop a subject unless it's taking a lot of your time. 12/13 units isn't actually that much work

Difficulty is subjective. E.g. I find humanities very difficult, but they scale worse than sciences which I find easier, and I'm sure there are others like me.

Any combination of subjects can lead to great HSC marks and a high ATAR as long as you work hard. Choose your subjects because you enjoy and are good at them or need them for your career goals.

Well the thing is, it's not the "difficulty" in a subject that makes it scale high or low, it's the strength of the cohort doing it.
