i have a speech due by the end of this week, what are the things to do to engage the audience??
eye contact, rhetorical questions, and what else???

Use things like: 'imagine...' to try and get them involved, use the collective pronoun 'we' if the question calls for it, use anecdotes.

Anecdotes are a good idea! And if you put in jokes make sure they are funny and don't make you sound lame- it will haunt you for the rest of school.

Compare whatever you're talking about to stuff most kids in the room know, like a tv show.
