u only do 2 classes of 1 subject per week- 1 tute and 1 lectuer
that depends on the subject/course. most of mine are 4 lectures 1 tute or 3 lectures 1 tute 1 prac. my electronics pracs went for 3 hours straight :<

uni is ok, its nothing like you see in american tv shows though. if you look through the other threads you should get a good idea. dont overdress. get involved in clubs and societies, try out new things.

It depends what university, campus and degree you attend. I'm at USYD, but I'm at the Conservatorium campus, so I know most of the people there, and do most of my classes with people I see every day.

it is better than high school. There's more freedom, you don't have to hang around dickheads coz they;'re in your class
You don't have to put up with crappy teachers, just don't turn up :)
The downside, you've gotta do a lot of work. Much more than high school, but there is none of the stress the HSC involved. Just pressure, which is a good motivator.

There's also the motivation to do well, since failing costs you anywhere between $600 and $1000 on HECS

Lube up, you're about to get fucked.

It's not as easy as school, and you WILL have to work more.

i guess it really depends on the person and how serious they are.
I had a misconception about the HSC when i did it. You know, OMG what if i don't get a kickass UAI, i'm screwed etc etc

Come to uni, fail an assessment here and there, I was like 'whatever, i dont care', just study harder for the worthwhile assessments. Ie. 80% exam

you people are , again, overrating uni to these poor hsc kids

what they say is correct if they are going for a HD average or something, you can pretty safely to jack all for 80% of the session, and study during stuvac (at about half the intensity you probably did for hsc) and still pass decently

I heard that some people do.

Maybe its to do with the whole "im doing the stuff I want" factor.

I'd love every moment of the con.

Unless I have high expectations of it
