Hey, is there anyone from 2nd year and beyond who wants to share their thoughts and advice for this course? Lectures, notes, is everything from week 1 tested in the final exam...?

Also what are the best textbooks for BIOL Life and Evolution, Chem, maths linear algebra/differential calculus? Are there any pdf sites.

MATH1901 = EZ

MATH1902 = not too difficult, but final exam destroyed everyone last year (including myself)

Regarding notes for maths courses, you don't really need them to be honest. Purchasing the MATH1901 course notes is helpful if you read ahead, but if you're not bothered, it's fine. It's an easy course for most people anyway. The MATH1902 textbook by Easdown is more valuable purely because the course is difficult (mainly because of the final exam), but you can get by without it if you're disinclined from buying it.

And yes, the final exams test you on a variety of topics anywhere from the start to the end of the semester. (As much as they can fit into a 1.5 or 2 hour exam)
