i heard only today that there was, and there i went guessing like an idiot

I don't think 200 MC has negative marking (but it's like 2mks per MC so it's as good).

with the multiple choice it's not like we got a mark if we left it right?
and as for the long answer, does that mean that there WAS negative marking then??

Who told you there was negative marking? I don't think there was. I remember in like the 1st week my tutor said that all acst units except 151 and 101 have negative marking in the finals. If there is then i'm even more fucked with those prospective/retrospective reserve questions i apparently misread...
