about transferring unis (1 Viewer)

ive got some questions on the topic of changing courses..

ive heard that some unis (like UNSW) will either take whichever is the highest - your uai, or your uai + tertiary results combined, when doing selections ... is this true? maybe they only do this if its your first year in uni?
also, if you have a discontinued on your academic record (not fail) will they use this in calculating your GPA?

have you tried asking the unsw personnel?
if you discontinued a course before the census date, then it would not count towards your GPA.
