99.7+ UAI without getting a Top 20/10/5 ranking?? (1 Viewer)

I know first got 98. And there was basically one mark between 1st and 20th.max said:

Wow. 99 as an exam mark is definitely impressive. That was probably the highest exam mark in the state.max said:

That's 3 100s on BoS that I know of so far - there are probably more that I've missed though - I know of a couple of 99.95s and 99.9s.romance_junkie said:

i'd say the mark of 95 has already been moderated. not many people talk in terms of unmoderated assessment marks (after all, schools aren't supposed to provide them to you, and it's fairly pointless working them out - what's important is your ranking)

That's kind of poor isn't? Coz then you can't check whether they've given you the right mark or not e.g. a couple of marks on my Prelim school report were different to the ones I calculated. I didn't care coz it was Yr 11, but if it was in the HSC I may have reacted differently (if I wasn't ranked 1st or last, in which case I wouldn't care).
My school never gave me my unmoderated assessment marks.
I think it's the board's policy that school's shouldn't give them to students because they don't really mean a lot in themselves (it also avoids having to explain the moderating process thousands of times when people ring up asking why their moderated assessment mark is 5 marks below their unmoderated assessment mark).
You can get your rankings from your school and you can also check them on the BOS website after they have all been submitted, to check they were inputted correctly.
You can also dispute them if you feel they're incorrect and have them checked.
All in all, there shouldn't be any mistakes in them (I'd hope every school would take due care in the whole process).

hey andy, well done on your UAI of 100! Who are the people who got UAIs of 100 (if you wouldn't mind listing them?), just so we can have a 2004 HSC info thread about the perfect score (see 2002 one--here's the link: http://www.boredofstudies.org/community/showthread.php?t=12587) and of course you don't have to add their suject choices plus marks, but if you feel you have time to waste.....
