yes, i go to a normal average school which never made it to the top 120 list. (my guess is around 350 out of possible 600 NSW schools)
I got 95.70. Chester Hill High. It's a non-selective goverment school.

Mines an average school in a crap district...

one uai of 98, two of 94, three of 93, and three b/w 90 and 92. We got a whole heap in the high 80s as well. Its totally possible.

the original question was too broad.

its like asking if you are left handed can you get over 95?

theoretically, the uai system such that you will be ranked as deserve. you would get the same rank as an individual no matter what school he/she goes to.

the comparing of ranks you get from school and your hsc exam marks, theoretically, puts everyone on the same playing field.

there are plenty of sticky's in the technical aracana. have a read of them.

actually if dat was tru nick y dnt we all stay at home and learn on our owns without the help of teachers and resources the school has a big part in ur learning... if u dnt have the resources ur learning is DISADVANTAGED...and that saying is incorrect and yes the school is to blame...y do u think there are private and selective schools.. not all schools are the same with the same resources..so dnt make excuses that u can learn anywhere coz u CANT!

my opinion is that the only thing that differentiates shools is the calibre of students, not resources.

i think resources play an important part - because if you dont have access to info that sum other school has then it means you dont know as muych as them in that context. Do you's get wat I mean?

Our school is Distance education school as well. Our face - to - face highest UAI was 87.sumthing.

The highest DE one was in the 90's.

God, I hope people go better this year.

over 90 UAI

It is more than possible to get 95+ at a normal school. While i didn't quite get over 95, i did manage to get 92.75 while studying through a distance education school and living interstate. It shows that a good score is possible whatever school you are at.

I finished the HSC last year as a full time distance ed. student who actually studied for the hsc while living in QLD. Realistically i thought i could get a 80-85 UAI, but i did all the set work and even though it was difficult as i didn't have the access to lab for biology etc like others normal students, i still managed to get a UAI of 92.75 with no special consideration for being a dist. ed. student (as this is not allowed when you are classed as a professional athlete.)
Just thought i would let you know.
