i go coaching with terry and this is the email i got from him

If you are interested, you may download my solution version of the HSC 2005
Maths Extension 2 from my website: www.hsccoaching.com, then click on the
downloads page. (It's a hyperlink at the bottom of the downloads page)
I think this is a difficult paper. Compared to the last 15 years or so, this is
the second hardest (only behind 2003).
Please share your thoughts of the paper with me.

Regarding the 2-unit paper. I have had a look and the last two questions do not
seem easy. But I do not have any copy. If someone wants me to write the solution
for it, please send me a copy of the question paper.

Good luck with the 3-u exam. ///

yea im going to reply to him by saying it wasnt 2nd hardest. the papers from the early 1990s were quite difficult. but having said that its in my opinion its definitely the second hardest in the new syllabus as in 01 onwards.

True, true; but you do have to admit it was harder than your paper. :p

I don't really think the paper was hard. I think that the paper was simply too drawn out.

Overall, I'd rather have sat the 2001, 2002 or 2004 papers....I think last year's was more straight-forward and less time-consuming.

i have a feeling bits of the syllabus changed in 2000/2001 (can't remember what year )

But nothing drastic. In fact my dad did the equiavalent of extension 2 maths nearly 50 years ago - and very little has changed since then

Oh yeah, 2003 the hardest in 15 years?
Not likely.
It's just the paper with the lowest raw marks in the last 15 years. No one got 90+% in the bloody paper.
