i did 10 hours last week and got paid bout $155 ish...
so thats ~$15 an hour - after tax and union fees - blah blah blah...

Yep Im 18.

I did 42 hours last week (how come you did so few hours?) and got bout $450.

$11.37 is the casual award for 18 year olds negotiated by the union and Kmart.
All I can think is you did a Sunday and Boxing Day (time and a half)?

yeah i just started this year... so i guess thats why i got lil hours... its enough really coz i hate work so bad... its so busy on the registeres

yeah i worked christmas eve and boxing day.. and news years eve... so thats probably why...

im waiting for my staff discount card... the proper card - still havent given it to me yet.

you don't get extra for xmas eve and new years eve, not a public holiday. I only started bout 8 weeks ago but am getting 5 shifts a week, I think its cos the manager likes me. Its very political though, theres a lot of bitching going on!

yeah tell me bout it... my line manager's nice though -
i got a mate who doesnt get any shifts at all! thats so unfair... seriouly she gets like maybe 2 shifts a month... pppsft.

Hehe yeah my line manager is heaps nice, but cos its all girls cept one in apparel there is a lot of competition to get into 'the circle' which consists of the line manager, the team leader and another girl, but others want in, and omg its pretty funny. But the manager likes me and thats all that matters!

yea...back during the y10 holidays, i worked at hungry jack's! IT WAS SO SHIT....they used me up and completely dried up the pay they were giving me

I was on minimum wage too....so i quit after 2 wks!

go to a kmart coles myer store near u, ask for an appl. form then, apply for every job imaginable, send ur resume everywhere, call up everywhere, everythings better than working at slave labour maccas!

are you a casual? if you are, they can do anything to you and you cant do shit. they can sack you anytime as well.
