Me with English on a daily basisI’m literally fucking crying bcs of chemistry rn
anything in particular u need help with?I’m literally fucking crying bcs of chemistry rn
I saw you on the “I got no one to go to schoolies with ahhh” post first!Future asian 5er!!
im bro im having this exact problem with my math teacher rn!Guys honest opinion (rant upcoming)=
how do we feel about teachers who publicly express their disappointment in marks to the class like we're their children?
Like- why should my mark reflect how you see me and how i should act- it isn't your problem if people a) get poor marks because you spring random quizzes on us and not tell them what they're about - or, b) they don't worry about their marks because they don't want it to let them feel down.
E.g- one of my teachers gave back a couple quizzes and we were all crashing out over the marks because she's marking us down and not telling us what for- and she's going "Girls you shouldn't be laughing" like my bad gang that Our marks reflect YOUR teaching skills?
And another teacher gave back some responses saying she was utterly 'disappointed' because she gave us 'time' to study for it like we don't have other subjects to deal with- saying our examples were 'pitiful'.
I actually don't like when teachers do this as i don't believe marks should reflect the student- I understand they want us to succeed but there is also a need to consider mental health, other subjects, and home life for students.
On the contrary- one of my fav teachers gave back quizzes we all did poorly on- said we should go back and work on it- went through it- then moved on in life allowing us to not dwell on it but instead move forward to improve instead of feel disappointed in ourselves because we have a teacher saying she's disappointed in us.
It actually sucks ass- hope you're alrightim bro im having this exact problem with my math teacher rn!![]()
I don't do tutoring but that's like one of the reasons why I'm hesitant about itPeople who do tutoring- is it just me or do you get nervous before going to tutoring like before you go into a class? I feel like imma get something wrong or act real stupid or something. Is that everyone or just me overreacting?
but like this is lowkey my parents too and having teachers that do the same just brings me back to these traumatising timesim bro im having this exact problem with my math teacher rn!![]()
But I feel like the reason why this still happens is because of intergenerational trauma and their mental heath being disregarded in the past which is causing them to inflict this same damage to the next gens. I can def see this in my family household. One of my 'icks' are when people cannot take responsibility for their actions- and when they cannot realise the damage they may be inflicting. Unfortunately, most (not all) teachers cannot recognise where to draw the line.
I used to feel like that because I used to get anxious in a lot of situations especially when i was younger and wanted to ask questions/for help (growing up, I went to a lot of tutoring classes at a few different tutoring centres), It didn't fit me bc the environment was loud, distracting and was really uncomfortable to sit in. Last yr I joined a smaller local tutoring centre and they usually run tutoring group session of 1-3 people but usually its 1-to-1 and I have found that the tutors there are really supportive and will listen to you regardless if its academics, school life, personal life etc.People who do tutoring- is it just me or do you get nervous before going to tutoring like before you go into a class? I feel like imma get something wrong or act real stupid or something. Is that everyone or just me overreacting?
Oh you angelanything in particular u need help with?

But that’s okay, that’s the point of getting tutoring rightt? You need help with something!!People who do tutoring- is it just me or do you get nervous before going to tutoring like before you go into a class? Makes sense-I used to feel like that because I used to get anxious in a lot of situations especially when i was younger and wanted to ask questions/for help (growing up, I went to a lot of tutoring classes at a few different tutoring centres), It didn't fit me bc the environment was loud, distracting and was really uncomfortable to sit in. It's easily explainable if you feel nervous going to tutoring class if you haven't been there for long and it's a place that your unfamiliar to and just need time to adjust to, but if you've been there for a while maybe the environment isn't the best place suitable for your learning? But also some people just take time to warm up and feel comfortable to ask questions and for help. Maybe through asking more questions to your tutor during class, you'll feel more confident and reassured.
lol maybe this quote will help? idk
'The man who asks a question is a fool for a minute, the man who does not ask is a fool for life'
