at my skl yr 10 matters the most out of all the junior yrs bc its when we get recommended for subjects eg. if im doing poorly in 5.3 maths i wont be allowed to do ext math if im doing very poorly i wont be allowed to do advanced n that it for all subjects if im doing poorly in chem i wont be allowed to do chem.

but then if the student rlly wants to do the subject they wont allowed to do it they need to go and do extra classes (forced) or if the mentor (usually head teacher or deputy; u are divided into groups n each group has a different mentor) believe i dont have the skills then i completely wont be allowed to do it n have to do something else

yh but thats my skl u got to check w ur teachers bc they're the ones to recommended

if ur accelerated n fail yr 11 math in yr 10 (like some classmates of mine) u can just repeat it n it might seem embarrassing but if ur rlly determined u wouldnt have failed in the first place (sorry i dont want to sound mean)
Lol I'm already stuck with advanced maths so whatever. I'll be fiiine

What topic is it on?
Trig, non-linear relationships, and functions. I know how to do all of these (...mostly) I just need to practice a lot and reteach myself, which I feel like I don't have enough time to do.

I've got an exam on those topics too lol. I'm just gonna watch a bunch of yt vids (cuz they teach better imo) and then do some practice questions.

Does year 10 matter by the by because I'm so done for this math test I've hardly studied and I want to give up because I know I won't get good anyway. But also idfk what I'm going to do otherwise if I give up LMAO, I'm behind in pretty much all the subjects I actually give a shit about. Explodes.
Yeah it does matter because if you dont get 100% in all assignments that means that when aliens come to invade our large polluted broken floating rock they'll look at your shit report from year 10 and probably pulverise you first, sorry mate

You gonna cancel me yeah gen z bruh
What are you even saying? I swear some people string absurd words together and call it a sentence. Now don't get me wrong that's not always awful but these are just devoid of intelligence, joy, and whimsy.
"You gonna cancel me yeah gen z bruh" I could write a whole paper on this sentence mostly detailing why I think our species may be evolving backwards.

unrelated, but once again asking for advice: does anyone have any advice on faster writing?? every time i write a timed essay i never manage to finish all of it,,,,,,, but i also need to get this down before y11 or i'll have hell to pay when i'd rather be stressing over studying than this,,,,,,

if it's of any use my usual handwriting is really small and pretty tidy and i can't write larger to save my life, and i'm trying to learn cursive (as close my writing style can get to it at least) but so far every time i write it slowly becomes smaller and smaller until its back to my normal handwriting size and becomes 2 notches away from being illegible (as is most cursive at this size), and i am looking through guides for actual cursive, but want to see if there's something that i might take to faster,,,,,

imo the pen matters.
i despise writing in ballpoint for assessments as my hand hurts from applying pressure. I prefer writing in ink pens because they have a smoother less pressure stroke.

I had a friend who practiced with one of those giant erasers on the top of the pen and they learned to write fast with it, they took the eraser off for assessments.

change pens, i always used ballpoint but my favourite is rollerball pens and since i usually write cursive anyway and the pen is inky but not as inky as gel pens they help a lot
