So, thoughts on the Quarterfinals?

France/Germany was a disappointment for me, I was expecting a top game but it was pretty much a snoozefest (same with the Argentina/Belgium game). I did enjoy the Holland/Costa Rica game - couldnt believe the GK sub at the end of the game though.

yeah but it was later revealed the sub got special training for penalties and is also better suited cos of that reach

I only watched the Germany vs France and Argentina vs Belgium games.

Dissapointed in Belgium tbh, and I feel the same way about Germany and France

Though its expected for teams to play cautious at this level unlike the group stage since there is much more at stake I think.

Fair enough - at the time I thought that it was a pretty bad vote of no confidence in the starting goalkeeper (nonetheless, even if it was, it's the World Cup).

Costa Rica have been my favourite team so far, definitely a strong effort from them.

The minutes of the game between 25th and 45th were quite good in the Argentina/Belgium match (didn't watch the rest though).

Oh and I watched the first half of France/Germany and yeah it was quite boring. Didn't watch rest either.

Was not expecting this - it was actually shaping up to be a killer game up until goal #2, Im kind of disappointed. Im a little pissed at Germany for running up the score though.
