She's a bit like a talking brochure. Talking about gay marriage, clean coal and all those other socialist evils and such. Straight from the Republican brochure!

JFK said:
To be fair, they agreed on the gay marriage argument.
I got the impression that he was pushing more for recognising the same civil rights, whereas she was pushing more for saying no to redefining marriage.

but it's a negligible difference.

EDIT: Yes! Dangerous! Do not meet with leaders! 8==D~~

Blar he was civil

On balance, I think it was Palin. She was by far more articulate and demonstrated intelligence and ability to lead

His closing remarks reeked of suck. So forced. Moreso than Palins consumer brochure esque debating style.

She was hotter than Biden throughout the whole thing.

If I were voting, i'd be tempted to switch to Obama based on that shit. I'm more comfortable with the GOP policies, but have little faith in the competence behind them. It really is a scary thought that she could possibly become president. Much gnashing of teeth

McCain gambled and lost. Gotta luva long shot!

First impressions:
Palin ambushed Biden first half, Biden destroyed her in the second, where her answers become a little more nonsensical and rambling. Tie, but I expect McCain's numbers might get a boost, since it was a credible performance overall.

I wish Biden would call her out on her shit technique

"Ladies and gentlemen, people of America. There are times and places for everything, but now is not the time, nor the place, to be cute"

SMACK DOWNWWWWWW

Her hesitant answer about giving the VP more power is going to be picked apart, as well as her odd remarks about teachers getting "rewards in heaven".

TIE? Were we watching the same thing!? It was a shocking performance. She mangled the English language beyond recognition. I dont think she gave a straight answer to one question - just listed words like maverick and energy. She painfully crammed in as much "gawndarnit"s and other superficial small town charm as she could.
I am ill about the whole thing. The only reason that TOTAL disaster was avoided was because Gwen Iffil couldnt pull her up on shit because she's stupidly writing a book about how great Obama is, and would have been hounded for bias if she said 'Governor, you have not answered one question'.
But I think Biden was quietly laughing to himself by the end. Major victory for Obama. WOuldnt be surprised if this clinched the result

If you look at anything close up u'll see pimples. Her C+ performance will give Repubs horrified by Couric etc get back on the bandwagon.

What struck me just then is how close the real Palin was to Tina Fey's parody.

LOL She got the name of the General in Afghanistan wrong

Palin is appealing to a demographic that tends to take things at face value. Even though Biden technically won the debate, I don't think the Republicans are going to be too happy at how Palin went - she needed to restore her credibility or their campaign was sunk, and She didn’t really achieve that.

And I believe she had notes from where she was reading all the time and memorized certain comments when Biden was answering... She is clearly an airhead.

I'm sick of hearing about Fey. She was a mediocre SNL performer and writer at best! Oh how I yearn for Chase, Belushi and Aykroyd to come back, even in their elderly and/or deceased years! :(

Kind of like Howard's campaign in Bennelong exceeded expectations.

She also lied when she said that her experience as an Alaskan mayor and chair of some oil company gave her the needed experience to be vice president.

Sounds like she's running for school captain, con sarnit!

edit: i feel sorry for her though. let us pick on mccain more. he's old lol!
