Who here is planning to apply to MBBS in 2008?
It's important that we, as applicants, are aware of important dates, procedures and rules.
This thread is designed to allow students to contribute important information relevant to the application process for medicine, in 2008.

No discussions please. Information relevant to the application process for 2009 MBBS intake only.

Acer is now offering an official full length UMAT Practice Test. Cost is $35.00.
Acer have also stated that the 2006/07 booklets are current therefore chances are the style of 2008 UMAT questions will be unchanged.

Registrations will open in April 2008 and will close at 5pm AEST on Friday 6 June. Late registrations will close at 5pm AEST on Friday 20 June. No further registrations will be accepted after that.


You may download a PDF of the UMAT2008 Information Booklet from this website. It will be possible to order hard copies from this website by the end of March. No orders will be taken via phone or email.

University of Sydney offering new combined medicine degrees:

4. New Combined Medicine degrees - Commerce and Economics
For 2009, in conjunction with the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Medicine will offer two new combined Medicine degrees: Commerce-Medicine and Economics-Medicine (subject to Academic Board approval).

These will be in addition to our existing combined Medicine degrees in:

Arts Advanced Honours-Medicine
Music-Medicine
Science (Advanced)-Medicine or Medical Science-Medicine
