There was a meltdown over the difficulty/length of the 2006 ext 1 paper (the most difficult in the history of the 3U exam). As such, they most likely overcompensated with the 2007 paper; which was certainly one of the more straight forward 3U papers I have seen. So yes, the paper was easier than other years.Has anyone else found the 2007 ext1 paper relatively easier than most of the other? (excluding those who do 4U)

I don't know. I remember following the situation at the time though - it caused quite a bit of drama. It was not the highest mark that was the issue though, it was the raw average which was significantly lower than other years that caused the issues behind the scenes. There were so many really good students that came out of that exam wondering what the hell hit them.wat was the highest mark in the state for the 2006 exam?
Yeah, this. It's usually mid-high 50's. 2007 was a bit obscure though in a sense that it was sort of dumbed down.Normal years, the cut-off for E4 is mid-high 50s, that year, the cut-off was ~65/84.
I think it was SIGNIFICANTLY easier than 2008...yes the 07 paper was relatively easier than 08,09 and 10
