Thank you r.haidar.

That was a quite a cool question 10(b). Well done Board of Studies! :) In fact, Question 10 looked quite good: although, I must say that I question the use of the verb "Explain" in the very first part of that question. Further, it was not that difficult for anyone who persisted and had time – Extension 1 students. This augurs well for Extension 1 scaling. However, the relative ease (conceptually speaking) of the first questions would result, methinks, in worries for those Extension 1 students who make silly errors but who know their stuff well. On second thoughts, the scaling could go either way.

Really, this exam was not that much more difficult than 2004. Band 5/6 = 92 / 120.

And, yes, someone will get 100%. :)

Wow, I'm impressed. That is a very nice exam. For 2u, it is quite difficult, and will be good at separating the very good students from the excellent students. Congrats BOS on setting 2 very good exams this morning.

'the good students from the excellent students' - that's a good way of seeing it! I was thinking of more 'the idiots and the smarts', me being one of the idiots -.-

But thanks for the site. I'm planning to redo the exam paper again (RESTRAIN your smartass remarks please.) because I don't like not being able to tackle something so black and white. so your solutions will help me check =) thanks mate.

Also, he/she might have got 100% assessment mark but at what school? Could have done some dumb shit paper where all the questions are addition and subtraction then had an overinflated view of his/her expectations for the HSC. Can't take these things too seriously till we see the marks.
