aw thanks i got the idea from myself. im a gymnast and ive been doing gymnastics for about 11 years now and this year was a big 1 for me because i went to nationals and compeated for NSW and so i based my whole work around the lead up before a compertition like all the stress and pain we go through each traning day. i really wanted to get into art express but my teacher rang me and said i did not get in and my works had just got back from homebush, they were marked in the same sports centre where nationals was held this year so i thought there could be a bit of luck but well there was not enough lol there leaning against my wall in my room now.

if u go to my space u can check out my work of art is an sculpture or 3-d installation piece. Its a woman wearing a dress made out of coke cans and the woman is made out of mesh, moulded from my body, holding a baby drinking coke , while watching t.v of poor people who have become addicted to coke (their teeth are rotten), i tried to portay how society is blinded by consumerism.

Yay i got my pics up, doo da, doo da!

For some reason my camera is being so unbelievably shit, so basically all detail is lost, its all very fuzzy (? and suggestions as to how i could fix this?)

So here's the link

http://photobucket.com/albums/c10/P...urrent=DSCN1103.jpg&slideshow=true&interval=3

The slode show plays backwards for some reason, so u get 2 or 3 close ups where I TRY to show some detail (still fuzzy:( ) then the actualy picture.

Theres 5 pictures in all.
Charcoal, graphite + texture paste, on 100 X 70 cm paper

If that link doesn't work here is another, then just yeah i dunno, do whatever,
http://photobucket.com/albums/c10/Pierotte/

Enjoy!! Please critique them, I love feed back and critisicm. Yeah even abusive critisism. :D

oh dear :( it says please log in to share your photos.
Have you tried deviantart? you can only link up one photo at a time, but i believe it is worth it.. there are plenty of experience artists who can critique your works.

Judging by the look of the photos, I assume they were taken in low light. I am also assuming you use your digital camera on automatic, and that it is probably not capable of manually setting shutter speeds and aperture. (Most digital cameras aren't capable of many manual settings, besides 'scene' modes)

Basically, when standard digital cameras are used in low light, they try and compensate for the low light by lowering their shutter speed (to give more time for light to come in) Henceforth, the shutter is open for a longer period of time, and it is more likely 'camera shake' will happen.... and the picture will turn out slightly blurry.

If you want higher clarity in the details, try taking photographs outside in the day time, on a sunny day. :)

^ thats not very nice! There is no reason to say such things, expecially now after the works would have been marked, now that person is going to be feeling very bad, when they probably put a lot of effort in their work, even if you dont like it, its better to keep your opinions to yourself.

Been viewing these majors and amazed by the quality, thought i'd post mine up, photo quality is a bit dodgy, but then again so is the concept...
it's about human's nature to advance and advance which has its benefits though will eventually lead to destruction.
I focused on War, Technology and the Environment using ink and coloured pencils, just wondering what people think

Congrats to all those who got preselected for artexpress. You must all feel very proud of your artworks!

I wasn't going to post mine here until I got my mark.

Sorry for the crappiness of the photos. I was in a hurry when I took them. They were finished at 5 minutes to 12 the morning they were due ^_^

Oh and please excuse also the crappiness of the explanation... lately I've had too much trouble putting thoughts into words and it'd probably take a large essay to properly analyse my work. People who have seen it had picked out things I wasn't even aware of.

Originally I made my artworks to get the marks and got fairly decent marks (less than what I wanted) but then decided 'the heck with it. I'm only taking the subject because I like creating art' so I created this for myself and again got a so-so mark whilst many others got a lot better than me. Was a very happy chappy the day I found out I got a band 6 and most the people who got great internal marks did not. Really suprising but I'm happy.

Bleh, i'm typing too much again. sorry for that ^_^'
