Nah mate, I'm a jazz/smooth jazz/fusion/funk drummer. Rock artists (especially punk ones) don't take my interest the slightest bit (except for Virgil Donati, but that's because he's a technical virtuoso, an absolute freak). I'm more into drummers like Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl etc.

I've got a few tracks off Stretch. I've got Drumspeak, I like that one. I really liked his On The Virg - Serious Young Insects album. Native Metal, Malfunction and some of the last few tracks are great. I've been trying to construct down his drum score for some of those songs.. but it's absolutely hardcore-ly difficult.

Have you seen his performance at the Modern Drummer's Festival 97'? That's the first thing my drum tutor showed me on my very first lesson, 4 years ago.. and that's how I got hooked on this guy.

Again, I can't believe I've found someone else who knows some actually good stuff about this guy, his discography etc. let alone know who he actually is. Good shit.

Hmm...Havent heard that stuff youre talking about. I've only heard him on the CD's I own. BTW that Native Metal guitar solo is fucking insane, the only thing I've heard that could compare would be some Meshuggah solos or Holdsworth stuff.

Good luck with transcribing him, pulling that off would be the true sign of a hardcore.
