EXCITING NEWS!! Iron Chef is back! Tonight 8.30 SBS!

Because he's more awesome than the rest! Duh!! Only the Japanese could make something like a simple cooking contest into this huge, over-dramatic event. Gotta love 'em.

(After Zoidberg has been given a sedative) "Why always... the fighting?" "Come one, come all, he said. He said I looked like a smart young man! 'So, is it a deal?' I enquired. Two hours later, he was gone, with sixty of my dollars! But I had his miracle cream!!" "Please select mode of...

    futurama thread

I love Futurama!! My brother has all 4 seasons on DVD and I've watched them constantly. Dr Zoidberg would have to be the funniest weird crab monster alien ever conceived. Some of the greatest episodes were in the last season, like "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings" and "The Farnsworth...

The songs we get stuck in our heads

That'd be "Weird Al" Yankovic - Fat. Had Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication for both Bio and IPT.

Whats the most amount of pages youve read in a day?

I usually try to limit my reading to 20 - 60 or so pages a night, but occasionally if I'm near the end of the book, I'd read that during the day. Most I've read that way was around 200 with Stephen King's "It." [Edit: I hate the word "like"!]

Morons Who Spoil Endings (Keep it Spoiler-Free)

Anyone else had this happen to them? You're reading an awesome book, just to have the ending COMPLETELY ruined by some lowlife. For me, I was 200 or so pages away from the end of Stephen King's Dark Tower series, only to have it ruined by someone on another forum give away the twist at the...

    anyone out there red Catch-22?

It sounds like a great book, and I noticed a few weeks ago that we have it in one of the bookshelves next to the computer - mayhap I'll read it after I finish Stephen King's Dark Tower series (which I plan to do tonight).

    Stephen King

Koontz. Finally, someone who agrees! I hear people say "that movie was SOOO scary" and I just want to smack them. Hard. They left out too much stuff from the book and the acting was so lame. And Dreamcatcher was even worse. *Shudder.*

    not giving a shit

My God, this'll be so easy. Most of the time you can just make crap up about privacy and you'll get close-to-full marks. This is my last exam, and I really see no need to do much/any study for it anyway.

12 hours to go, good luck everyone!

    The human story questions

I used DNA analysis and radiometric dating for the 7 mark question...don't know exactly how right I was.

How does everyone think they went?

I reckon I did fairly well; this is the first HSC exam where I can say tht with any confidence.

has your stomach grumbled in any of your exams?

Never had it happen to me, but a few of my friends have had it happen every exam.

    The human story questions

I skipped the DNA hybridisation question, I had no idea. The rest were fairly easy, but not what I was expecting. I was hoping for stuff more along the lines of Out of Africa/Regional Continuity kinda thing, but oh well.

    enzyme experiment (8 marks)

Let's see...for my hypothesis, I wrote that the enzymes work best in the temperatures at which the bacteria was found, and designed an experiment with the bacteria working with the substrate at 10 degrees, 20, 30, etc...all the way to 90, and said to measure the amount of gas produced at each...
