That's my point exactly it's the students more than the course. If you're capable of a HD in 1141 you should be able to get one in 1131 as well. After all the only scaling is on half of the final exam (its 2/4 questions I called and found out) however if you're capable of a HD in 1141 you should...
Wouldn't this mostly be due to the fact that the more math inclined students do 1141 where as there are people who have done 2u taking on 1131. Clearly most students who can get a HD in 1131 would be doing 1141 as well so that explains the fail and HD rates.
I chose to do 1131 simply because...
How are Dr DD Angell and Dr CK Mak?
I only picked based on times to fit as much availability for work as possible and didn't even look at who was going to be teaching what..
Hopefully they're not too bad or else I'll regret this.
Just noticed that I can't pick my field of engineering when I select it as it only says B Eng (Bioinformatics/Chemical/Computer/Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic/ Software/Telecom)/Master of Biomedical Eng - full time at UNSW - start date 03 Mar 2014
Is there a common first year? according to...

Ideally I want to do software engineering and was thinking for the extra year at UNSW I could just do the double degree and cover both areas of study which both seem interesting.
My question is does biomedical engineering require any physics as the software combination with it does not do it...
I wasn't aware that the MBBS interviews and application was so early (my fault for not looking into the system) anyone else in the same boat? Was hoping to apply to MBBS at UWS just to leave it as an option.
3u: 91
4u : 87
Advanced english : 87
Chemistry : 82
Physics : 79 (why couldn't you just be 80)
Overall pretty happy, matrix is predicting 95.00 exactly but I highly doubt itll be over 94. Expecting something more like 92-93

Thank you in advanced atar calculators are giving me estimates way too high (94-95) so I wanted to get a more accurate estimation here hopefully.
Not sure if this is true but I heard that all english marks are able to be compared meaning a 90 in Standard is mean't to be on par with a 90 in advanced and they both scale the same afterwards (in terms of what this means for your ATAR). This is why there is so few band 6's in standard as...
Just thought i'd make a thread discussing a job at a club since no one seems to really think of it. Currently working in gaming where I pick up empty glasses and ashtrays and it's paying $23.15/hr for casual (27 or so on saturdays, 32 on sundays and 41 on public holidays) with the base rate for...
Hey guys I go to a school ranked ~300 but it varies on the year.
Ranks:
Advanced English 3/40
Chemistry 2/11
Physics 3/9
MX1 2/8
MX2 2/3
Expecting to B6 MX1 but not much else I think.
Estimated raw marks for externals:
~80/100 advanced
~66/100 for chemistry
~70/100 for physics
~56/70 for MX1...
Didn't address the question nearly enough, could tell my responses were prepared unless you're retarded.
Module A didn't have enough on authority so I just included my other shit about context cause well might aswell.
Module B was fine.
Module C was half half I found the question fit...
Hm as long as i get at least 88 for software engineering i'll be happy (between HSC+ and EAS that's more than enough to get in)
Thanks for the estimates guys! :)
School rank is >200 that's all I know, probably around 300.
English advanced 3/42 93% trial - 83/100
Chemistry 2/11 86% trial 81/100
Physics 3/9 78% trial 61/100
MX1 2/8 84% trial 74/100
MX2 2/3 58% trial 47/100
Figured id include my internal marks just incase it helps.
My trials I screwed up...
