Rank The SDD HSC Exam Please

I though it only needed an OR gate and an AND gate, since it didn't specify for eXclusively OR. But don't worry about it, I could very well be wrong. Also I'm sure hotcocoa is right, a context diagram shows the system and external entities. Basically it is an incredibly simplified dataflow...

    Duke of Edinburgh's Award

I've also completed Gold award, it is very worthwhile! Camps were the best! Most memorable moment was going to Pink Lakes for a week, trekking around there. It also encouraged me to take up the drums, and help out at the local library (not as lame as it sounds). I'll admit that I used my...

    Does God exist?

Here we go into the reliability of the Bible, and the accuracy of Jesus' life. I'll keep this brief, since this is just going off topic and I'm spending too much time here, also nobody will be convinced of anything different to their own convictions. I'm assuming you either mean the gospels...

    Does God exist?

I won't provide a proper answer then, just my opinion. Which [loving] God? IMO God is love. If there is a loving God then simply decide to love. Love love! IMO as a logical choice, one which promotes so called postive values and demotes negative values. This is entirely debatable as to such...

    Does God exist?

LOL fair enough! Certainly that does make alot of sense. Such an illusionary unconditional love is self-sustaining. In that way, the desire is formed from subjective experiences, which is biased from personal desire. I won't deny that, even though it appears as a justified search, reaching the...

    Does God exist?

I should be studying right now, but KFunk you seem to be willing to explore the foundations of my belief and I respect that, so I'll entertain this discussion for awhile longer. As I've brought my Christian belief into this, I've noticed how others (non-Christian) are more willing to argue and...

    Does God exist?

My knowledge claim was not an application of that rule. Mine was that I know God through intuition. Not that through intuition it becomes real. It is real or not regardless. The act of thought essentially makes existence evident. That is an application of believing existence of the self to be...

    Does God exist?

I won't accept infinite resignation, which is why faith is such a blessing.

    Does God exist?

I've already stated that belief in God is illogical, and I adhere to logic because to do otherwise is to be illogical myself. That is a logical contradiction. Through intuitive belief I claim to know God. You could claim that I am confused, but then you're only confused about your interpretation...

    Does God exist?

In the case of a man dreaming within a dream, waking up to another dream, there is nothing to base the assumption on that anything is not a dream. So I agree that all of reality cannot be proven to be a delusion, but there is nothing to base that assumption of reality not being a delusion except...

    Does God exist?

I don't know about making such a knowledge claim being anything but absurd, but for me I know that God exists as well as I know I exist. Exactly. So if our God is a delusion, He's still real for us. Maybe I'm being irrational when I claim that love is more real than anything else. Of course...

    How did you find it??

IMO that was an easy exam. Multi-choice always seems ambiguous, but wasn't too hard. Short questions were great (included heaps of examples in the last one), and I also picked the life cycle analysis question for section III. Ethics and environmental decisions are basically common knowledge.

General Thoughts: English Standard Paper 2

Poetry was straighforward, so was Institution / Individual. Asides from the first section on image, everything was fine. Overall don't think I went well though, I'm much too slow at writing to cover everything in enough detail.

    Does God exist?

Well if you want to classify me into a group then Kierkegaard would probably be it, although I also hold to aspects from both Descartes and Kant, and naturally my view will consistently be open to criticism. Still I'm fairly tired of this, and entertaining as it may be I do need to spend more...

    Does God exist?

In a pure logic system, the absence of input equates to a lack of existence. There lies the problem of using such an inference engine for a proposition, that the existence could potentially not be providing the input. One could also claim that God defies our meager definitions, but that seems...

    Does God exist?

I'll clarify. I never said that honestly believing it makes it any more true in an absolute sense. Honestly believing it makes it relatively true to the self. They are equal in reality since they are not real, but that does not give them equal truth bearing (or actual relevance to veracity)...

    Does God exist?

Well to me it does, see your propositional attitude is not the same as mine. In your mind it is may be equally as good, yet in mine it is not. I'm not saying that it is entirely relative with no relevance to reality at all, but it should be clear that we both disagree on that point of intent...

    Does God exist?

Hey Not-That-Bright, I admit that I did edit my previous post after some consideration (before reading your post, but have since edited it back now). Anyways I accept the flaws in my reasoning, since for me to claim otherwise would be blatantly hypocritical. Sure, but why you'd choose to do so...

    Does God exist?

If what someone believes is bizarre by another's reason, then why should they claim otherwise? Human reason has its limits within the subjective mind. Your interpretation of the world is certainly not flawless (nor prominately objective). Neither is mine. BA Philosophy will allow you to...
