    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 2

about right.... maybe high 80's? Never give up.

    Carrotsticks' MX2 HSC 2013 Solutions

I did it by finding the lengths of each and stating they were all equal radii. Is that still ok?

Still spewing that we got conechinal today. I wish it was complex or integration last question. Now doubting e4.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 2

I actually found 2011 and 2012 easiest of those 4. The easiest exams were in the 2004-2009 era though.

    Carrotsticks' MX2 HSC 2013 Solutions

I had two drawings, one unrolled and one of the graph and the derivation of the limits. My method is actually somewhat shells and slices put together lol. Probably two marks. One mark was probably for using Interrogation by parts and one for the height. But I'm guessing you already cleared the...

    Carrotsticks' MX2 HSC 2013 Solutions

Couldn't of said it better. Explains why I failed geo. I made a silly in the inequality though. Reading your statement, I think there will be a large gap between the e3 and e4 cut-offs.

That is only two marks. I could not do the angle properly for the 10 marker and just lost 8 marks on the spot. Most other 4-unit exams had 3 or 4 free marks in the last question, especially last years.

You still can. I think this year's paper was about 5- 10 marks harder than last year's.

    Guessing high 80's?

    I got 4e(e^2 - 3) if your wondering. Lost 1 mark.

    Carrotsticks' MX2 HSC 2013 Solutions

I think that was a decent trick by BOS. That would have dropped marks for quite a few people.

Great minds think alike....... lol how did I stuff up like that. I wonder how many people in the state did this.

    Oops. You're right.

    Carrotsticks' MX2 HSC 2013 Solutions

Same. I assumed it was 4 cars for some reason. We will indefinitely lose two marks.

Carrot. The induction question asks for n greater than 2, not n=2. Can you still use n=2 as a base case though? I tried to prove it for n=3 and failed.

    Carrotsticks' MX2 HSC 2013 Solutions

Damn. Unlucky. That's why I spent 40 minutes on 11 and 12, and I think I only dropped 1 mark. Brain-freezed on the pendulum, the induction and the two geo questions though. I feel so dumb that I stuffed up the induction. It looks so simple now.

But still the format is different now....

    Carrotsticks' MX2 HSC 2013 Solutions

With that 10 marker and the induction and circle geo, I would say 100 would be super hard to get.
