    Need Motivation

No regrets, Mr. Freeman. OP, do you like your subjects? Do you like the work that you do in school? If you like the work that you are doing, then you should think of it as a fun hobby to do rather than studying.

    Questions by Topic

I used Maths in Focus. It can get you a low band 6, but you really need to do other types of questions too. Do the Challenge exercises in MinF. You can find Phoenix at your local library too most likely.

    Keep or Drop Ext.2?

Keep ext.2 for now. Are you doing the 2-unit assessments? What did you get for 2-unit? I remember getting this in first term year 12: 2-unit: 95% MX1: 98% Mx2: 96% In essence, if you get above 90% in both 2/3 unit, then keep 4-unit for now. Do the half-yearlies for now. I had a friend who...

    Maths questions

Fixed it for you. Just put \frac{numerator}{denominator} and put \text{your text here} These text wrappings make the difference.

    evaluating a galvanic cell

Is this the 2012 HSC paper? Look at its marking guidelines and sample answers if so. And give us the full question. The verb plays a major part in the structure of your answer. Also, get into the habit of realising that impacts or -s means at least two. If you give the question then I can...

    Atar bingo.

Its not rude. I am happy that someone realised this. Last year, the highest in the following subjects was recorded: Physics<80 Chem<80 MX1<85 MX2<70 English<90 But our teachers clearly stated we are a better cohort. Highest ever marks for subjects are the following: 90<English Advanced<95...

    Questions by Topic

+1. They are mainly assorted questions by topic of past HSC from the 90's. Though very good. Got me above 90% in all my internals for ext.2

    Atar bingo.

After much, much consideration, I think that my raws could have the following worst case scenario: English Advanced: 80/105 Mathematics Extension 1: 50/70 Mathematics Extension 2: 60/100 Chemistry: 70/100 (Got 19/20 mc woot!) Physics: 65/100 (Got 14/20 in mc ffs) Economics: No idea, maybe...

    Geometric Representation Question

i(z_3-z_2) = z_3-z_1 iz_3+2=z_3-4+i z_3(1-i)=6-i z_3= \frac{6-i}{1-i} Multiplying the numerator and denominator gives us: z_3= \frac{7+5i}{2} I got the same thing as you...... I drew the diagram as well. Did you copy the question out properly?

    Stressing out, please help!

You can still get a band 6. Take this last-minute preparation as a warning as of almost doing bad. Think of how much better you would feel if you had prepared earlier. You can still do good though!!! I did Economics for HSC last minute. Don't know what I will get though.

    Shoplifting

ROFL. Tried to rep, but have to wait. Why would you need a straw dispenser or wet floor sign? :jawdrop: At the meet we need to do something like that. In the meantime, today at UNSW, a cab just stopped at a traffic light, then the passenger undid his belt and walked out without paying. The taxi...

    Jap vs Euro Cars

The list is ok. My friend already has one lol. My dad had one of those in 2001. Looks ok but here is the specs: Did 300000kms. The max speed was around 150 and took around 30 seconds to get to 110, by pushing the accelerator all the way down. The radiator always broke. We had a camry a few...

Weird things you do before/while studying!

When I got bored of studying for HSC, I went out in my backyard and filled up my super-soaker and played imaginary counter-strike, doing barrel rolls and hiding behind cover. I used a ball as a grenade. HSC can make you go crazy.

Please help me estimate ATAR with my subjects!!

You would be close to the cut-off or mid-high 80's I would think. Are you eligible for bonus points/EAS? Look into subject bonus points too, so you can make it into the course. Good Luck.
