Sooooooo, Australia has been squirreled by GM

The engine has not been made in Australia for a while now, and I think that is the determining factor in calling it an Australian car. My only problem is that many engineers will be out of work :(

What actually happens in an electrolytic cell?

Also, if the cathode is dipped in a mixture of an aqueous salt, then a deposit of the metal in the salt will deposit on the cathode.

    Hot Hatches for sub-30k

Its just as small as one, and I'm pretty sure he would be willing to look for something flexible. Just out of curiosity, what about a Lotus Elise? Seen a few of them here.

    Another Galvanic Cell Question

The possibilities: Zinc is oxidised, Chlorine gas is reduced or Sodium is oxidised and Zinc/Chlorine gas is reduced. There is quite a concentrated mixture of NaCl, which means that water will not participate in this reaction. In essence, if you reverse the bias of the negative and positive...

    Help with oxidation-reduction equations?

For the first one, look at the oxidation states of each ion and check if anything is oxidised or reduced. By looking at chlorine, it undergoes oxidation: 2Cl^{-}_{(aq)} ---> Cl_{2(g)} + 2e^{-} The rest of the reactants and products end up in the same oxidation states. In the end, you will...

    Hot Hatches for sub-30k

Bump for OzKo. Keep this thread running until he makes up his mind and buys a car. One thing to be wary about with hot hatches is their ground clearance. From experience in a car with only 13cm ground clearance, you have to be careful of when driving over speed bumps or coming across potholes...

    Overusing the word 'belonging'?

This is ok, but just be careful. My teacher told me that if someone is going to mark your paper at night and is very tired, you need to make it obvious that you know how to link belonging to the question and the texts prescribed/related. This would require the use of "belonging" a fair bit. I...

    Another Galvanic Cell Question

I doubt it. The NaCl solution is fairly concentrated. I might need someone else's confirmation on this though.

    Overusing the word 'belonging'?

No. If its anything more than 3% of your essay then yes its too much. However, too fix this don't do this: "Therefore the two people belonged." Do this: "Therefore, the two people chose to connect through a common identity/memory to each other and thus felt a sense of belonging."

    Pictures of aesthetically pleasing cars

I want to see this. There is this car I saw on the street once. It was a little Shih Tzu Daihatsu with a massive Rocket on the back with an exhaust that had a 30cm diameter or something. I think there was a similar car on Top gear Australia that cooked a Kebab stick. I can't find a picture of...
