    Rhodes Train Station: Ticket Barriers?

Is Gosford -> City only valid via the North Shore Line? Or are you allowed to go via the Northern Line? If you're allowed to go via Northern Line you can get off at Rhodes and it won't matter if there are barriers or not. Getting off early is fine.

Earth Hour: Turn Off Your Lights 7.30pm, 31 March 2007

Wow that's actually quite a big difference. More than I would have expected. And we just liked sitting in the dark/candlelight/lamplight for an hour. Figured it wouldn't make much difference, it was more for the novelty of it.

Earth Hour: Turn Off Your Lights 7.30pm, 31 March 2007

It was so weird. I got home at 725pm fully expecting nothing to be happening, but Dad used the opportunity to break out ye olde kerosene lamps to see if they still work. We had 2 TVs and a laptop going in that hour. I'm sure we'd have saved more energy by turning the lights on and playing...

    Unconventionally Attractive Celebrities

AWwwhh bebiiiee. I watched this thing on Led Zeppelin today and yes Robert Plant (when he had the mane of curly hair) yes Jimmy Page (most of the time) It's the hair and the pants and the talent that do it for me. Plus I have a wee bit of a groupie complex. And also SPIKE from...

Haha well that's just ridonkulous. Props to you and your download limit. My brother's collection is still in the making, he's been sidetracked by that dastardly Roger Waters and his floating pigs.

    Iron Maiden Appreciation thread.

I love Fear of the Dark live version, where the audience sings the opening riff. The Trooper is also awesome. Run to the Hills as well. It's great, classic, epic stuff. My brother sort of ripped aaalllll of his Iron Maiden onto my comp and I need to work my way through it and appreciate...

    CityRail - still training Sydney?

Fixing Cityrail isn't as easy as waving a magic wand, or clicking your heels together and saying "there's no place like a clean, efficient, on-time train service that always has a spare seat". Yes, there are problems, but they're not as big as people make them out to be. Cityrail can't just fix...

    CityRail - still training Sydney?

Actually I prefer my trains to be non-airconditioned, because those trains are ridiculously cold and I much prefer being uncomfortably warm to uncomfortably cold. The following is a bit of a rant based mostly on the retards who sms Mx with their stupid Cityrail problems. Cityrail isn't...

    Dude, Theatresports

I loved the opera and the ballet. It should get better once the newbies get some confidence and some funny. Right now they seem too scared to say stuff, or their minds go blank so they don't say anything.

    What have you eaten today?

Actually I eat like that lots of the time. Breakfast Mid-morning snack Lunch Snack with lunch Afternoon snack Pre-dinner snack Dinner Dessert Pre-bedtime snack. Generally the snacks are just doritos or some chocolate. Depends on what's available. And I don't eat more when...

    Boost Juice

Yikes! I have anywhere between 13 and 21 hours a week (8/13 weeks I have a school visit all day wednesday), so I've been working 1 or 2 shifts after uni during the week and also on saturdays, and that suits me fine (I read like crazy on the 2 hours of public transport I catch). But for you I...

    Boost Juice

Depends on how many uni hours you have. If you have the weekend, and a few hours here and there where you can visit the library and grab some books, then you'll be fine to work a few arvos a week. Assignments always come down to the night before anyway.

Dear god, put your phones on silent.

Generally my lecturers just keep talking like nothing's happening, since ring tones aren't that loud. It's worse when people stand right outside the lecture theatre talking loudly, and everyone inside can hear them. Or when people talk during the lecture. Or those people who arrive 20 minutes...
