Because these universities are completely regional or specific... UWS is a generalist university that competes for students from the direct sydney area. It is the bottom of the sydney-area barrel for most students, and considered inferior because of this.

This is interesting... For quite a while I've thought that the people that are oh so defensive of their university when they're at a less reputable one are the same sort of people that would look down upon such unis if they were at a more reputable one.... statements such as these kinda confirm it.

No - I planned to go to billy blue and do a digital media course. I scored well in the RET test and go into UWS law. Even if I had been trying for law all throughout my hsc how does that show that I have low intelligence? Perhaps that year I just wasn't committed enough due to distractions...
