Well it's not as if religious conflicts get 'sorted', both groups believe they have a right to land or whatever... some christians believe christ wont come untill more people are christian etc... These beliefs are non-sensicle, but they come from god so it's not like you can negotiate about them.

I don't see how the cartoons criticised muhammed anyway? I think it's far more of a stretch to claim they were criticising muhammed than using satirising muhammed as a symbol for current radical islam (as that's what the article was about, how scared we've become of these radicals).

I support their right to that political commentary - I think it's totally justified, however again it is quite difficult to change your nationality (I would however see it as an attack on that segment of australia, not australia as a whole).
