    Anyone into photography?

I like how just a few milliseconds after this shot, it would have looked like the michelin man was saying "what a head!" to the driver haha. But its a great shot. Really captures that moment of when the driver is concentrating and is enjoying their time, while keeping a straight face.

bachelor of business at UTS vs bachelor of eco/commerce at UNSW

On a side note, a similar thing goes for many disciplines. Prestige is near the bottom of the list if its even on the list at all.

    UNSW meat thread v2.

Around 4pm tomorrow. Then again maybe not. Too much work just kicked in. Need to turn on my Boxer Turbo now.

    Physics in civil engineering

Not sure I'm afraid about bridging courses. However, in my opinion its not necessary to know HSC Physics or even maybe Preliminary Physics too, to pass first semester Physics. I would recommend picking up a textbook and reading the Preliminary Physics content though. That's all you really need...

    Physics in civil engineering

If you do electrical, you will need a bit more regarding the HSC syllabus. However, for most other streams of engineering, Preliminary Physics is sufficient and actually more useful to you. Only things from HSC for first semester Physics in uni are bits and pieces from the module "Space".

Where is this said new thread I thought it was going to be in the engineering section? In fact this thread is in the wrong section and I probably would have completely missed it if I wasn't on at the right time.

Make a new thread and ask a few more questions. Will answer it sometime when I get the chance :) As a quick thing, you will find it difficult at first, though if you have a solid maths background you should be fine.

    The Police

Hope you are ok man. I see. Well idk but cops are lenient in my area. Then again at my work I have worked with cops, and although some are rude (they make crude innuendo jokes with each other lol), they seem chill in my area.

With reference to civil and mechanical though, you'll be dealing with forces all the time in latter years. For someone in electrical, you'll barely ever have to deal with any forces with the exceptions of EMF and related areas.

Wow. Did you rear end the other person? Most likely that's why. Police will not hesitate to persecute people who smash into the back of others. Lol at getting that in a car park. I don't know whether you would deserve to have a bike licence if you would just fall over in a carpark.

I'd never run a red. No that's silly. The reason why its a 40 zone is because most cars will be able to stop within 5 m. It makes perfect sense. Imagine if it was an 80 zone. It would take about 30 m for most cars to stop while slamming and using a few slam intervals (so with perfect braking...

Well I see two in a specific area all the time. However, even when I'm driving lone they have never pulled me over. I think instead they just use a mobile speed camera.

Hmm random stops. Maybe its more frequent in your area. It could just be the style of your driving. 90% of drivers on the road leave a 1.5 second gap rather than a 3 second gap, continue accelerating when they blatantly see a red light 100 m in front of them (I know this because I let go of the...

Highway patrol are always in my area, and I always pass them as I take highway and motorway a lot of the time. Maybe its due to your equipment when biking or something? Well cops won't give out speeding accusations unless they know you were speeding. There are times where I do 77-80 kph in an...

Friends did this and get booked by the copper. The letters never came in the mail gg popo. Seriously though I didn't walk when they j walked that time because it was a bad time to j walk. Also, I did have a backup plan. False id lol. Back in the days where we didn't have a licence to give away...

    losing weight?

I lost 12 kgs in 6 months and have not felt this good and versatile with my body in ages. By versatile, you can see me doing sprints sometimes in public areas. I do it because I know I won't feel buggered and because I can actually sprint for once lol. How did I lose it all? Basically work...

When you say maths and physics are more advanced, surely you mean in terms of engineering in general? Because most engineering streams will have a similar level of maths, which is obviously high.

Daily telegraph stating that students are cheating HSC! Must READ!

On one note, at least here independent and CSSA papers are never to be distributed as they are under copyright. The only thing really that they could say is cheating is to share papers that students will do exactly (I mean the same paper) later on for trials or something. Also, I guess its...

Civil Engineering is based upon the design and processes of statics. By statics, I am talking about things that are designed not to move (like bridges, roads, walkways, etc), and are supposed to be strong and quite reliable over time. Also, it can entail management, design and abiding of...

    Typed vs Written Notes

On a side note, when I hit uni there was no need to make notes/no time. Just printing out lecture slides, and writing down random stuff on the slides or my book is enough as long as I understood everything. Otherwise, I wouldn't say I was making notes. However, being someone who has to...
