Yeah, as part of Statement for Cash Flows. I'm pretty sure the focus lectures assessed are the first lecture and all the lectures that weren't covered in the first test. I think we're overestimating ECON241 but there will be a lack of total understanding for me. I didn't do too hot on the...

Agree on ECON241. There's so much assumed knowledge that the lecturer implies for such simple pre requisites of STAT150 and first year ECON subjects. Then you look at the tutorial questions and assignment everything was just plug values in with some ambiguous marking that has broad specifics...

I dropped a planet unit this sem without knowledge of this. They wouldn't drop the units right away right? Can you elaborate on the CA handbook issue?

Can anyone comment on how much the textbooks are needed for: AFIN250, ACCG224, ECON224, and ECON131? I can weigh in for ACCG250, BUSL251 and ACCG200. They all needed textbooks as 250 has vague lecture notes, BUSL251 you're allowed to bring the book into the exam, and 200 is a classic Accounting...

What units are everyone doing next sem? How were ECON204, ACST201 and AFIN250 for those who've done it? Still have my People and Planet units available. Anyone reducing to 3 units? I feel like I neglected my law unit throughout the sem compared to my other 3 units so I'm considering it.

I learned that I am definitely not a law person. BUSL251 is interesting but some concepts can be hard to grasp, and have to learn that you have to write down what cases/sections are used. After that it's easy to refer and generally understand the content. Applied for PACE, still waiting for the...

The BUSL251 page doesn't seem very well structured so I'm not sure if we'll have readings or not i.e. if i have to buy the textbook, has anyone done this unit before? ACCG250 doesn't seem to have a open book test anymore so maybe no textbook? ACCG200 seems to be the only textbook I need to buy...

Anyone doing ACCG250 can show me where they tell us there's no tutorial week 1? I only found out by going there and being confused for 10 mins, then looking up the actual full timetable that there's only lectures this week. Checked the forums and main page. there wasn't anything. ECON110...

Did anyone else get invited to the Banking, Trading and Consulting Careers Fair? Any past attendees been before? Is it worth going? I've registered for now, but I have a full day of classes that day and I'm not sure I want to attend them all in a suit.

    Does √-1 evaluate to i or -i?

There is no purpose to make sqrt(1) a definition as it is clearly already = 1. It's more convenient to use i and makes more sense to do that. Since sqrt(-1) doesn't exist without the use of imaginary numbers, i can be used to define and introduce an impossible number as a variable and therefore...

    Does √-1 evaluate to i or -i?

I'm not familiar at all with the complex mathematical background of it, but the general idea is that it's impossible to square root a negative number i.e. with the definition of a square root where the result squared itself is the number inside of the square root (a bit confusing, but it leads)...

    Does √-1 evaluate to i or -i?

    The former, so sqrt(-1) = i, and 1 = -i

ACST201 looks interesting but STAT150 is said as a prerequisite (or only ACST101?), both of you have done STAT150 right? It seems more like you have to have done one of them but probably better if you've done both.

Doesn't he have to do an extra year since the credit transfers aren't as generous? I've been considering it but the extra year + almost triple the commute time didn't seem worth it.

How AFIN102 was run gave me horrors tbh, I've hesitated on selecting any for now as I have 2 Law units, 3 Finance, 2 Econ and 1 Accg unit left in terms of 2xx units excluding p&p. I saw someone suggesting the two be done together so I've done this for now.

To the others with same/similar degrees, what units have you picked? So far I've got STAT150, ACCG200, and ACCG250.
