yeh anything provided by the union is discounted if you are a full time student, because we basically have to pay for it already with our GSC,,, so the GSC does come in handy someplaces.... still dont like it though

yeh they are a part of the ourimbah campuses and are the tafe campuses, cos ourimbah have ties with the tafe organisations on the coast they are all together called the central coast campuses. whereas the uni only has two campuses the ourimbah and callaghan campuses

i spent the whole of last year on the auchmuty side, dont much like the huxley library, it sorta gives me the impression that its all temporary,,, dunno why

oh and the exams are only on the content of the course, go to your lectures, do your labs and youll sooo be fine also going through old exams (in the library in short term loans) will help give you an idea and the lecturers use alot of questions from them only changing a few numbers etc

p.s. to save you in the first week, lab books in chem arent due untill a few days before the next lab bio labs i think they try to scare you by making you do them in the lab time for the first week, but then it gets easier (thats what they did to us)

in the labs for chem and bio you get to pick your benches,,, for chem this is three people on a long bench on one side and three on another, generally you work alone but if you do an experiment that is long and has a few parts then youll have to do it with the others, its always good to team up...

yeh and you get the best rates for membership, and the people that asses you if you go for an assesment when you join up are sooooo nice!

seriously if you guys need any help on campus give me a yell, i dont mind a bit, being from the coast and having only 3students from my school go to the same uni,,, and at total different end of the campus and at a place totally new to me,,, i was exactly the same when i started out so i know...

they sometimes stuff up with the enrolments and how many are really in the class, it has been known to happen that the lecturers dont put in the right amount of spots in to the computer so it will only take a few spots as specified, that happened last year till they fixed it. they also change...

i live in newcastle! its daunting at first but you dont end up having to know the entire campus, you get your little area and it becomes familliar, ive been at callaghan for a year now and ive only had to go onto the other side of the campus twice,.,,, and that was only coz i was exploring!

why what degree are you doing? coz if its specialised then yeh,,, cos unfortunatly ourimbah doesnt provide for nearly as many courses , cant wait till it eventually becomes a stand alone uni
