    Transfering to eco & com..

D average would almost get you anywhere in transfers. I would think a high credit average should get you into arts/commerce after one year.

The advanced units usually scale very well. You shouldnt be disadvantaged in anyway doing advanced units.

    Law At UWS

Well after 2 years at usyd doing the recommended IT units I really can't see any use or any value it can bring to any business, hence the change. I don't know about law but in IT experience means so much more. I will still probably look to work in IT I just feel law will improve my communication...

    double sided cd's?

The sony ones only work on sony burners and only can be read using the same burners. Quite useless now with DVD-RW drives below 200$

    compSci or IT?

I really can't see companies hiring graduates in management positions so comp sci probably offers better job prospects to get your foot in the door in IT (usually programming). That said some of the unis here (USYD, UTS?) obviously have a better B.IT program compared to B.CS.

    Law At UWS

Is it really worth the travel? I got over 90 and I'm transferring from usyd (comp sci) to uws to do law. I have been thinking about this a bit recently I have the marks to go UOW but I always thought law is law and like most other industries once you get a few years experience under your belt...

A subject q for those already at Uni...

depends on the load per subject and the contact hours required. I have been doing 6 each semester and that was fine around 26 hours per week. I have known people that can take on 7 with about 28hours per week you will have to really be on top of what you are studying to do anymore than that.

    do they ask for ID?

Pretty sure they don't care even in tutes, I've been in classes that I am not timetabled for and tutor doesn't care.
