Get GPA of 3 or above... or get a GPA of 4 will get you everywhere by internal transfer in the uni, don't think UAI is required.
And I remember you need to do some LAW units as well.
In my opinion, COMP115 is definitely easier since you aren't required to remember loads of knowledge about computer, it's just logical programming stuffs.
Re: I know you don't go to tutes or pracs on the first week unless lecturer states bu
This is not UNSW..we don't have week 0, this is week 1.
As I said, I have checked with the lecturer today and the mixed is definitely ON THIS WEEK. So just go!!!!
Re: I know you don't go to tutes or pracs on the first week unless lecturer states bu
Just let you know
I have just confirmed with my friend who is doing 115 this semester and the lecturer..
the mixed class is ON this week, there will be an introductory course to DevC++ and its related stuffs...
Re: I know you don't go to tutes or pracs on the first week unless lecturer states bu
COMP115 : Introduction to Computer Science
Check the noodle site...
for comp unit, they put the announcement on their website, for example
COMP125 : Fundamentals of Computer Science
COMP125 doesn't have...
nope...there are lots of sticks on the way if you walk straight distance... not a pleasant idea.
Also, it's up and down terrains...if you have time, try it yourself sometime.. I went around whole uni in the first few weeks of my first week...as you won't have time to do this later.
it's ABSOLUTELY amazing and fast with the newest train!!! But would be so so much better if they can dig a tunnel from library to station and to the interior of Macquarie centre.
Been waiting this for 1 year.. I've seen it building since when I was in year 8, I passed through the worksite...
yes,you don't go to tutorials /praticals on 1st week unless you have a lecture on 1st week AND the lecturer telling you that the tutorial is on the first week.
But for second week and onwards, tutorial and praticals are running.
the workload should be less than the HSC, since you don't get lots of stress and with extremely flexible time. Just beware of $#!T fail rates (for us it's sumthing like 35%). but you don't have to really work that hard, as long as you don't slack off you'll be fine.
for first years, i mean if your tute is before the lecture then you DO NOT have tutes first week, just ignore it and attend them in the 2nd week.
Hope this is clear enough.
For second year onwards, you know your thing, check the website:)
for first year students, they will tell you that in lectures (there should be NO tutes before lecture for first year subjects), so don't worry about tute before lectures.
for second year and onwards, check blackboard or the unit website.
$!%@#@@#$
Yea... that means I'll still have to be on bus that day to uni...
getting the train on the way back on that day...which is @#$@#%!%!
I start at 9 and finish at 3.
You can check if your subjects have ilectures on the Blackboard,
But if they don't have ilectures, try not to skip lectures otherwise you are on your way to drop your GPA.
another thing you can do...
just turn up in morning lectures, they ain't going to do a lecture roll call
but just turn up the lectures you are assigned to when you have in-lecture tests e.g midsemester tests.
Re: Reason behind Macquarie NEW logo/image
I think someone is trying to convert the uni to something like sydney uni, that's why everything has to be changed with falculty structure similiar to the one in sydney uni, same for the website as well....
you'll see the degree rule changed to...
