depending on the quality of the cohort and the marks recieved in comparison to other texts, each text for each module gets scaled differently. So if you pick 'harder' texts, you will get scaled higher.

yeah i got marked down in one of my economics essays because my stats were a 'little inaccurate', they weren't that off though, +/- 0.5% off for quite obscure ones. And the teacher who marks it marks HSC, and he's generally regarded as being pretty fair indication of how the marking centre marks...

ok well assuming your internal is like 85, which might be a stretch in itself, your external will need to be 95 or so, so that's 92~/105

it's usually a lot lower than 84/105, raw mark will be like 77/105

You guys are scaring me with teh whole belonging to place thing, I don't have too many arguments for that =/ I think the belonging essay will be just be a broad one about one of those aspects of belonging (except understanding cause it was done in 2009). My bet is on experiences.

rule of thumb for E4, around 5 marks is = to 1 hsc mark. e.g 100/120 -> 96

I had the opposite effect to you! in my essays i didn't have any stats and got really sad :(

it would impact, but very little

no 105 = 97 but anything 94 or higher would just scale to a mark with an atar equivilant of 99.95, so you may as well spend your time on other subjects because there is really little marginal gain

there were a few hard questions in that, especially the pendulum, JWST and the 8 marker. But I'd say the most of the rest was pretty standard
