    Re: HSC 2013 3U Marathon Thread i remembered the C C: and sorry i horribly worded the question wrong sorry, i'll fix it $Look at $(1+x)^n \\ \\ $i) Write down the binomial expansion of $(1+x)^n \\ $ii) Hence show that 2^n = $\sum_{r = 0}^{n} \binom{n}{r} \\ $iv) By using part i), show that\\...

    TDS VS turbidity

    1st point: i used a low modailty word "maybe" to expose my uncertainty 2nd point: why isnt suspended solids in a solution? this causes the cloudiness of some waters. Say i took a sample of highly turbid water, this solution would have to contain suspended solids

    TDS VS turbidity

    TDS = total dissolved solids = mass of solids that are dissolved in the water Turbidity = in water, it means cloudness or LACK OF transparency as a result of suspended solids DIFFERENCE: TDS does not include SUSPENDED SOLIDS, it only measures DISSOLVED SOLIDS TURBIDITY is just a measure of...

    Graph with a range.

    well then, i think u have to do the test over several days and get the turbidity of each day and graph that

    Graph with a range.

    how did u test for turbidity? what method/intsrument?

    Differentiating Trig Functions

    lol, i think all u need to remember is Pythagorean identities (eg. sin^2 A + cos^2 A = 1) complementary and supplementary angles

    re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive 1) Sorry is was meant to be more marks lol, and yeh thats 1 reason (i wanna see TWO more) 2) Well done, but ur conclusion of "achieve the same yield of products in the absence of high pressure equipment", i dont think its correct, i dont think injecting gas...

    Re: HSC 2013 3U Marathon Thread $Consider $(1+x)^n By differentiating and integrating it prove that: \sum_{r=1}^{n} \binom{n}{r}\frac{r}{r+1} = 2^n \frac{n-1}{n+1}
